Public meeting held at Jack McNanie’s house called to order at 10:30 a.m. by Judith Maxwell, Chair.

In attendance:  Judith Maxwell, Mary McWilliams, Mark Finkel, Manny Kelmenson, Lita Kelmenson, H. Scottie Coads and invited guests.

Approximately 40 members attended the meeting.

Minutes of the last meeting were dispensed with.

The business meeting: 

The officers of the LI Chapter of ADA were nominated and voted on as follows:

President: Judith H. Maxwell

Vice-President public affairs: Mark Finkel

Treasurer: Manny Kelmenson

Publications secretary: Lita Kelmenson

Recording secretary: H. Scottie Coads

Webmaster: Don Scarl

Speakers:

Colleen Eren, New Yorkers Against the Death Penalty

Tom DiNapoli, NYS Comptroller

Michelle Schimel, Assemblywoman for the 16th Assembly District

Paula Blum and Judie Gorenstein from the League of Women Voters

Also in the audience were N. Scott Banks, Michael Uhl and Rocco Iannarelli. Each spoke briefly and answered questions posed by our members.

The meeting adjourned at 12:30 pm
