MINUTES OF OPEN LIADA MEETING SEPTEMBER 18, 2006

 9:45 AM Meeting called to order

Attendees:       Mark Finkel, Manny Kelmenson, Norm Maxwell, Helen Maxwell, Lita Kelmenson, Judith Maxwell, Muriel Finkel, H. Scottie Coads Jack McNanie

Speakers: U.S. Representative Carolyn McCarthy, U.S. Representative Chuck Levine, N.Y. Assemblyman Tom DiNapoli, Nassau County Legislator David Mejias and candidate for NYS Senate Odeila Goldberg.

We had approximately 45 people attend the open meeting. All the speakers stressed the importance of the November 2006 elections for the U.S. Congress.

Tom DiNapoli provided his insight into what is happening in Albany.

LIADA gave its support to Mr. Mejias in his effort to unseat Peter King in the U.S. House of Representatives.
